Africa's Richest Man (Dangote) Gives out 540million naira to 54,000 people

Africa's richest man, Alico Dangote began the distribution of 540million naira to indigenes of Borno State residing in that State.

The disbursement of these funds which is carried out through his foundation (The Dangote Foundation) began on 1, December with the aim of reducing poverty in the troubled state which has been under the siege of Boko Haram forces for the past four years.

The foundation is partnering with a Non Governmental Organisation known as Support for Women, Orphans and Tsangaya (SWOT) to achieve this.

SWOT, a pet project of the Borno State first lady will organise the beneficiaries and get the financial support of Dangote's Foundaton. Each beneficiary is entitled to 10,000 naira.
